KEMMLER in the land of the dragon
KEMMLER, the automotive supplier from Freiberg is joining forces with its new partner, Changzhou Meigao New Energy Technologie Co. Ltd. from Jintan to enter the rapidly growing Chinese market for car parts.
KEMMLER Electronic is known within the automobile industry as a specialist for cable harnesses. Since the company was founded in 1986, the company has developed at a continuous rate of growth – KEMMLER Electronic is expanding globally.
Along with its locations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria with over 250 employees in total, the company set up another operation in the Chinese region of Jintan/Jiangsu. This meant that the business was able to meet a growing demand for production in China and for any associated local delivery requirements.
“The Chinese market both now and in the future is a strategic growth market for high-quality electrical
components in the automotive sector..
In order for us to achieve these objectives successfully in the Chinese market, KEMMLER Electronic plans to take ownership of a seven-figure sum over the next two to three years”, says Stefan Reiber, Managing Partner of KEMMLER Electronic.
In order to achieve these objectives, KEMMLER Electronic is basing itself on the partnership with Changzhou Meigao New Energy Technologie Co. Ltd., a successfully operating company based in Jintan/Changzhou. The two companies signed a collaboration agreement, which among other things, also provides KEMMLER Electronic with a minority stake in the Chinese company in Germany.
The agreements were formally signed at the KEMMLER Electronic headquarters in Freiberg am Neckar in the middle of 2014 by both of the Managing Partners, Ms. Fenmei Wang and Mr. Stefan Reiber.
The new German/Chinese partnership represents a further milestone in the implementation of KEMMLER Electronics’ global growth strategy. The collaboration allows for a rapid and permanent entry into one of the most dynamically growing global markets, and provides the automobile supplier KEMMLER Electronic with a solid platform to get a foothold within the Chinese market, whilst also allowing it to be in a position to achieve the objectives which have been set.
